Life drawing

I didn’t want to let go of my previous project completely, so i am looking at how, when people choose to hide behind a mask their vision of reality becomes a lie rather than the truth.

I used photoshop in order to manipulate the photos.

I am now currently working on a project titled, ‘the Real’.

i am getting most of my research from, The Four Agreements: Practical Guide to Personal Freedom (Toltec Wisdom) by Don Miguel Ruiz. I am looking at how dreams could be our reality.

I then decided to expand my work, and so started to look at how people hide behind a mask (make-up, plastic surgery, a mask).

Within the deconstruction project, we were asked to create an artwork consisting of 40 pieces. For this, i decided to draw an outline of barbie to use as a base for my final outcome. i also drew various studies of the same woman. i then cut them up into 40 pieces all together and stuck them onto my base.
The idea behind that was too create the ‘perfect’ woman by combining her with barbie.

Experimenting with different mediums

Beginning my specialism: Fine Art

the basis of our first project was ‘deconstruction’.

for that project i decided to look at plastic surgery. at how people reconstruct their faces to look “perfect”. my main inspiration was barbie and Joan Rivers.

Fashion week- we had to dress someone up using mainly shoes and bags as our main inspiration.

following that, we had to individually create our own costume for a character. My character was a young male who enjoyed going to sci-fi conventions.
